Privacy Policy

Decision Twin is built by a solo indie developer. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can ask us to delete it. Website: getdecisiontwin.com.

No account by default

You can use Decision Twin without creating an account. We do not require your name, phone number, or other personally identifying information for core analysis flows.

What we store locally

Journal entries, onboarding flags, and similar preferences are saved in your browser (for example localStorage) on your device. That data stays with you unless you clear site data or sync it through an optional feature.

Anonymous session cookie

We may set an anonymous session identifier cookie named dt_sid to help with vote deduplication and journal-related sync. It is not used to build an advertising profile.

Email reminders (optional)

If you opt into email reminders, we store the email address you provide solely to send those reminders. We do not sell your email. You can ask us to stop reminders and delete the address by contacting support.

AI processing (OpenAI)

When you run an analysis, the decision text and related answers you submit may be sent to OpenAI so scenarios can be generated. Do not include secrets or sensitive personal data you would not want a processor to see. OpenAI’s use of that data is governed by their terms and policies.

Public features you choose

If you publish anonymously to the gallery or create a friend-vote link, the content you choose to share becomes available to others who have the link or browse the gallery. Avoid including identifying details.

No ads or tracking pixels

We do not run ads, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics suites on Decision Twin. Product events we keep (if any) are for operating and improving the service — not for selling profiles.

Deletion

To request deletion of data we hold about you (for example an email used for reminders, or server-side reminder/check-in records tied to an id you can identify), email support@getdecisiontwin.com. You can also clear local journal data anytime in your browser settings.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
